Survival rates for premature infants have improved over the past decade, but minimal advancement has been made in optimizing neurodevelopmental outcomes. Premature infants are accepted to be at significant risk of social, cognitive and behavioural disturbances. They are also at risk for auditory, visual and neurodevelopmental deficits.
